Hello and welcome to Mr Mason's beautiful blog!

This is a resource for students of GCSE English Literature Poetry. Why not set up your own blog and post responses to the activities you find here? You could even style your page in a theme relating to the poems. I'm really interested in hearing what you think about the poetry we are studying. Come on, it'll be a fab resource for revision in the summer! I'll visit your blog, leaving a comment about stuff you've posted too.

Brrrrr! Another cold, snow-filled day. I wonder what our poets would make of all this lovely nature falling from the sky....

There is some fantastic new literature content on the blogs below, just in case you missed it. (I'm sure I mentioned this stuff last week - but the snow may have prevented you from being in school.)

Click on 'View my complete profile' and choose one of the 'Blogs I Follow' links to visit these excellent blogs.

Film clips, student activities and all sorts of other useful bits and pieces can be found on Miss Shaw and Mrs Andriot's blogs. These will give you an interesting introduction to some of the Gillian Clarke poems. (Take a deep breath; some of it is a bit disturbing too!) Plus, Mr Duggan has been busy explaining how to compare some of the poems on his blog.

As usual, please record you ideas by posting them on your own blog - remember, you can use pictures, video or audio to respond, not just writing.

And don't forget to build a snowman at some stage this weekend. It's your homework! After all, they are part of nature too....
